inflow date whatever amount 1/20/07 deposit $200 next date in order interest $ 5 etc etc etc total $255

------------------------------------------------------------- outflow 1/22/07 food $23 next date in order party $100 ect etc etc total $209

Grand total $ 46

Based on limited experience, my guess is that you're stuck.

The report format underwent massive changes from '05 to '06. One result, you have probably noticed, is that the total of a category appears at the TOP of the list of items being added. I went back to '05 because of that.

That style flies in the face of "standard" accounting reports. Alas, Intuit (or their present software developers......who are probably "off-shore") don't see that as a problem.

Thanks JustMe Well it wont be the first time I couldn't do what I wanted. It may not be standard accounting practice but it works great to post on a BB for a club. My main complaint is the lack of a "sample" report for the various choices.
