Setting up a monthly payment in Quicken 2013 Deluxe

"From the Quicken Home page, either click the Scheduled Bills & Deposits tab and click the Add Bill or Deposit button, or select the Cash Flow menu..."

I normally open Quicken to the check register. So I clicked on Home > Go to Home and what I see does not have a Scheduled Bill & Deposits Tab or a Cash Flow menu button.

Help, please.

Tools > Manage Bill & Income Reminders (or CTRL+j) > Create New.

In 2014, and IIRC, 2011, there is a tab at the bottom of the register that says Bill and Income Reminders. Clicking opens a pannel at the bottom for, I think, overdue reminders. But it has a manage reminders tab that does the job.

I got that far before but am stumped by the choices I am offered by Create New. I don't want a bill, income or transfer REMINDER, and have no idea what a Scheduled Transaction Group is.

Thanks. Is this just a matter of semantics? They offer reminders and I want scheduled payments????

Reminder = Scheduled Transaction
