Tax Line Assignment For "Facility Fees"?

There's a screen in Turbo Tax Premier 2007 under Deductions & Credits named "Enter Facility Fees". It comes right after "Enter Professional Fees" which comes after "Enter Prescription Expenses". I can't find a tax line entry in Q2008HB that specifically deals with "Facility Fees." Must I pick out those charges form the broader category "Schedule A: Doctors, dentists, hospitals"? Kindda' defeats the purpose of trying to automate to such a refined degree only to have a bump in the road at the last mile.

In Q, how about using classes/tags to distinguish between Facility/ Professional/Prescription/(and mileage)?

You'd think Intuit would provide better integration between Quicken and Turbotax. Unfortunately, there are many items of tax data that Turbotax would like to have entered into specific worksheets but there's no way to code data in Quicken so imported data goes into the right place. One might allow users to define custom "tax lines" so they can be assigned in Quicken and used in corresponding TurboTax worksheets.

Intuit may think this is "too technical" for their customers although it isn't very complicated.

I found the TurboTax forum and posted this message. I heard back from someone I assummed was a representative of TT:

"Sounds like we have not been paying attention to changes int he medical expense category between TurboTax and Quicken and for that I do apologize. I will bring this to the attention of your Quicken development team. For now, unfortunately, it sounds like you will have to adjust the insurance amount. The rest of the breakdown is really a convenience for the user rather than a tax requirement so you could leave that as is and look to Quicken for your detail. Sorry we missed this, will try to have corrected for next year."

We'll see.
