Tax Item Line Assignment: Smooth Flow to TurboTax

Using Q 2005 Premier H&B, trying to put my Tax Category list in sync with the questions being asked about Medical Expenses in Turbo Tax 2003. For

2005, I'd like everything from Quicken to flow to as many of the tax question lines as possible. Right now, I don't see how that's possible.

For example, several of the lines on the Medical Expense Work sheet of Turbo Tax feed - it would appear - from one aggregate number in Quicken such as:

a.. Fees for doctors, dentists, etc b.. Fees for hospitals

Both of these feed from Tax Line Item assignment "Schedule A: Doctors, dentists, hospitals. Got a number of these in Medical Expenses alone.

How do I make the Schedule A assignment flow to the work sheet with just that portion that properly belongs in each line?

There must be something I'm missing. or Quicken and Turbo Tax are out of sync somewhere down the line.

What you are missing is that not all lines on tax forms are significant. In the case of doctors, hospitals, etc, the lines add together and the individual details have no significance. So the two lines are historical accidents, or thought to be tutorial, or have no thought at all(always a possibility on a government form), or ... Don't waste time on a government form's useless detail; use that time to do something nice. If you live in California, Sunday will be a good day for a walk on the beach; seals, sea lions, otters, ... all much more interesting.
