I appreciate the three answers I received about my backup problem and want to thank the posters. I would like to try the flash drive suggestion. Are there flash drives that are re-writable?

All flash drives are rewriteable and reusable.
Think of them as small portable hard drives about the size of a stick of gum.
I purchased two and alternate backing up between them, so I have two removeable backups of my data.
When you plug the flash drive in the USB, Windows will automatically recognize the new device and assign it a new distinct drive letter.
With the larger flash drives (2GB and 4GB versions) and being so cheap, I back up lots of stuff on there aside from my Quicken data.

Just don't think flash drives will last forever. Neither did floppies, CD-ROMs, or hard drives. Multiple backups are really needed if you cannot do without your data.
