Are you using a non-US version of Windows XP? There have been problems reported when installing Quicken to non-US versions of XP (especially XP Home, if I recall).

clicking "Search" and searching for "1602"; not a lot of good news, but a few people found a workaround.
I use TT premier. If I download it, will it allow me to complete and efile taxes for both myself and my wife (file separately)?

TT comes wiith 5 free Federal eFiles. You have to pay a fee (~$25) to eFile each State return.
Except in you live in NY, where it is illegal to charge an extra State e-filing fee from personal software such as TurboTax. That's called out right on the box for us New Yorkers!
