What is the best way to set up a 529 college savings account?

Jul 14, 2005 1 Replies

I just set up a 529 college savings account for my 10 yr old daughter. It is held by Vanguard through a Colorado state investment plan. I can't download anything to Quicken from Vanguard. Any ideas on the best way to set this up and keep up with it?

Thanks, Don

I don't know if this is the best way, but I set up and investment account, giving it a bogus symbol for my 529. Then I can update the value of a "share" based on the going rate for a college credit (in my case, a Penn State credit).
