2011 Calif tax rates?

Jun 19, 2011 1 Replies

I thought the 2011 Calif tax rate table would not be determined before August as usual(?); that is, some time after the budget is passed, which is usually later than its June 30 deadline. Right?

And indeed, the latest tax rate table that I can find at ftb.ca.gov is for 2010.

Yet a Google search turns up 2011 Calif tax rate table at

I do not see anyqualifiers for the table (e.g. "preliminary" or "unofficial"). Note that that table is different from the 2010 tax rate schedule at ftb.ca.gov. And that table is different form the 2011 withholding table at edd.ca.gov (which is typical for Calif).

What credance should I give the table at

Any idea where its numbers are coming from, if I am correct that Calif has not yet determined the 2011 tax rate table? Does Calilf publish a "preliminary" tax rate table?

I wouldn't put too much credence in this web site being in any way official. It appears to be designed primarily to generate ad revenue from links and to promote at least one well-known commercial tax software product.

The tax-rates.org domain is owned by
