Amend for omitted deduction

I filed my federal tax return (Texas resident) and forgot to take the sales tax deduction - I also bought a new car in



2005. What is the best procedure to now amend to claim that sales tax? Thanks.

Sales tax plus the car sales tax goes on Schedule A form

1040. To amend file Form 1040X and include the schedule A with the 1040X. Missy Doyle
