How do you fill out a W4 form so that you don't end up owing taxes, but at the same time are getting the most money out of your paycheck?

If you use the worksheet, and accurately estimate your non-wage income, deductions, and credits, you theoretically should come out about right.

Wait until you have current paystub(s) through August, then adjust for the rest of the year based on your best estimates at that time. Wage withholding has equal weight no matter when during the year it happens, for purposes of underpayment penalty.
