K-1 W-2=0 13T DPGR reporting not needed?

Apr 11, 2012 1 Replies

I have found several posts on the web stating that if there are no W-2 wages on the K-1, that I can ignore any 13T (DPGR) entry's in my tax preparation software as it will not make any differences on my taxes. Anybody have any opinions on this? Thanks Phil

The DPGR deduction is the lessor of either the deduction amount which is calculated off of the information provided or 50% of W-2 wages. So if there are no W-2 wages, the deduction will be zero.
