Registered tax preparer question

The first tests apparently only vover form 1040 returns.

I read that in the future there may be tests for other type returns.

If someone passes the 1040 test and gets the CPE, etc. are they limited to

1040s or can they prepare 1041s, 1120s, 1165s, etc. before passing tests covering those kinds of returns in periods prior to the existence of the additional test(s)?

A registered tax preparer who passes "the test," can prepare any federal tax return for pay even if "the test" includes only 1040 related questions.
