Just wanted to let you know that our accountant did a stellar job w/ the ammended return. Very easy to follow. Anyway, The ammended returns were sent to both NY state and IRS by certified mail and recvd by both on 6-21-2011. The Ammended return for NY state was turned over in 1 month and they added interest into the payment. The Federal refund came today 10/17/2011, so call it 4 months, they to paid a 2% interst payment. The 5329 no word but I think you guys mentioned they'd send a notice if they wanted the dough but I'm confident they'll give him a pass this time. Just wanted to give you a frame of reference w/rt time and outcome as it was a weird situation.
