Schedule C and 1099 income -- deductions?

Dec 07, 2010 2 Replies

I get work through a tutoring agency, who will pay me on a 1099. I also do free-lance tutoring. I drive to the students' homes for both.

How do I report all the mileage -- on the Schedule C, or is there a provision to report the 1099 work mileage separately? Or?

This is my first year with the mix.

-- There is a place on Schedule C, page 2 for mileage, but if you also have any depreciation, you should report the mileage in the place provided on Form

4562 instead of on page 2 of Schedule C. The dollar amount goes on page 1 of Schedule C as an expense.
