60 GBP = Pension Increase Brought Forward

Arrived in my account today. It obviously applies only to the basic pension and not to the SERPS element, which would have made the total £100 for me. Never mind, better than a kick in the backside.

The £60 payment is Xmas bonus - nothing to do with pension.

The reference on your Bank Statement will confirm this.

AA000000A DWP XB = Xmas Bonus AA000000A DWP SP = State Pension AA000000A DWP WFP = Winter Fuel Payment

Where AA000000A is you NI Number

David

Nope - mine just says AA000000A DWP SP - but is 60 more than my normal weekly state pension.

Correct, but it was calculated to be the equivalent of the next due pension increase, brought forward from April, according to Alistair Dearest, not just a figure pulled from his eyebrows.

Having just read another post, the XB doesn't seem to have been applied to weekly pension payments. I'll leave someone else to explain that... :)

It wasn't for the 10 bonus in December, either - just an extra 10 included within the SP item.
