A Happy Financial New Year!

I think my goals wont be achieved in 2006, I have to think longer term for clearing debts of up to £10k.

My main goal for this year though is to ban the use of all credit cards unless I have transferred money to a card to cover a purchase.

I am also going to transfer as much money as possible from my high APR cards to an interest free one, until the balance is repaid. Setting up standing orders to pay a little bit extra in addition to the minimum direct debit is also something I am going to do.

I also intend to save more this year, not to go on expensive holidays, and instead to invest in things like Gold, Silver and shares.

Keeping an eye out for a new job with a better salary is also a priority. As well as coming up with ideas for my own business and other ways to make more money. Oh, and doing whatever I can to help the political party that offers lower taxes get elected would be another good thing to do.

Anyone else thought of any New Year or long term resolutions yet?

I'm not a Ltd Co. Therefore my financial year *is* the tax year.
