Trying to sell some Alliance and Leicester shares. They are held in A&L`s sharesafe how ever the telephone number on the statement I have in not recognised. Anybody got a telephone number of sharesafe?

Found it eventually myself its 08705168351
But why didn`t A&L contact me directly with new number? If I couldn`t google I could have missed the price I wanted and it could have cost me a fortune if the market dropped suddenly.
Apart from the Premier current account, I find AL are useless at administration and have antiquated procedures.
