My firm offers salary sacrifice for amongst other things, health checks. If I paid say £200 through salary sacrifice for one, what advantages am I getting? Am I getting it tax free, or will my NI be less? TIA, |F
Advantages of salary sacrifice

Benefits: Almost certainly a better rate than you could get if you subscribed as an individual. You pay no NI on the 200 (but depending on your salary, the NI may only be 1% - i.e 2 pa).
But - you will be taxed on the BIK ("benefit in kind"). And your pensionable salary may be 200 less (depending on details of the SS scheme).
Have you tried asking your HR department - they are more likely to give correct information regarding the full circumstances than any "guesses" you will get from here.
