Any experience of a company called RIAS insurance

I've been using them for Buildings, Contents, and Car insurance, for several years. Whilst it true that I have never made a claim (which is the real test, no doubt), I have always found them to be very competitive and also to be easy to deal with. You do have to be 50+, of course. In fact my wife has just saved about £100 by switching from the Co-op to RIAS to insure her small car.

As GPG says the real test is a claim and I've never had to do that... but I can confirm their quotes are very competitive. In our case they were substabntially cheaper and offered a far higher rebuild amount than our mortgage lenders' insurance at the time we switched.

However you do NOT have to be 50+ to use the insurance - I was 41 when I moved to them. Their website is a little confusing in this regard but I checked when I called and it was "no problem". That's not to say they may be even cheaper if you are over 50!

I've handled a claim with them on behalf of my mother and had no problems at all - that included use of the emergency callout service to have some locks replaced on the house doors - the locksmith was there within 2 hours.
