Hi I work for Asda and was given some free shares(33, big deal). Are they only quoted on the American stock market as I cannot find them on the London stock market? Thanks Ron

One of the great advantages Tesco has over Asda (apart from its loyalty card which gives it the inside leg measurement of every customer!) is its employee share scheme. Every member of staff gets a huge share bonus every year meaning every one of them has a direct interest in making sure Tesco does well, and it costs Tesco not one penny!
It'll be interesting to see how much your shares are worth and whether they can be sold easily. How many hours a week do you work and how long have you been with Asda?

better than that tesco offer 4 share schemes

I have about 1000 worth of shares - doesnt make me care anymore than usual though! Its unlikely Tesco will do worse off that it currently is doing anyway.
Does ASDA really exist? I've always assumed that it's some sort of rumour put about by Tescos to give the illusion of competition! Is your local branch really local?
