Barcalys have just "steamlined" their service from one in which I simply dial a number, say "hello" and ask a person my question, to, one whereby I dial a number, have to keyin my plastic card number, I then get asked for my 5 digit security number which also has to be keyed in etc etc. Actually I think I prefer the un-streamlined service - but hey, I'm just a customer. That aside, I did wonder though as to the security of keying in ones codes like that - over the phone. It's just a series of "plaintext" tones that, once recorded, could be easily reproduced. Anyone any info. on the wisdom or otherwise of this?
