What's the best way to trade in options from my laptop? Is there a free facility that will give me live or almost-live price info for a range of options and maybe futures too? Index options and specific share options? Where I only pay when I actually do a trade?

Also where I can use my own money as margin, e.g. when writing options, and don't have to borrow it from the company supplying the trading facility?
Any recommendations?
Mainly interested in FTSE index options and share options on FTSE- traded shares.

Depending on your definition of near real time, I think the answer is that there can be no legal free near real time feed.
