CFP: Journal of Restructuring Finance

The JRF welcomes papers for its first and special issue to appear in the first quarter of 2004 on:

"Debt Restructuring: Approaches to the Management of Sovereign and Corporate Borrowing and Lending"

This special issue will consider papers and studies dealing with:

  • Strengths and weaknesses of current approaches and practice * Innovative financial instruments and institutional vehicles * Asset value, performance and benchmarking * Supervision of borrowing and lending activities * Governance, best practice and standards * National and international legal frameworks * Impact of developments in financial markets * The role of stakeholders

Regional and country case studies and experiences with borrowing and lending will be considered Europe and North America (e.g. The G8 Countries) Eastern Europe (e.g. Russia, Poland) Southern Europe (e.g. Turkey) Latin America (e.g. Argentina, Costa Rica and Brazil) Africa (e.g. The Franc Zone Region, South Africa) South East Asia (e.g. Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia)

Analysis of legal cases and issues will be considered Legal cases (e.g. revisited review of "the Elliot Case" and aftermath)
