Closing down

Sep 12, 2009 1 Replies

I am planning to close my company, which is solely owned by myself, to take advantage of Entrepreneurs Relief on the remaining funds.

There is a pension fund, of which I am the administrator, in the name of the company. No funds have been paid into it for many years by the company or myself. I stopped when money was more useful in my hand.

What, if any, action should be taken ref the Pension fund.

It will be in a trust, with the company's directors as trustees. It needs to be assigned to you personally. The company with which you set up the scheme should be able to arrange this for you in conjunction with HMRC.
