For the purposes of getting directors' details from Companies House, is a Chairman a Director.
What about a Chief Operaing Officer.
I think my question can better be put: which corporate titles,
Companies House and director's' details.

Get on to Co House, buy the (I think it is called) appointments report (1 IIRC) an that will list Directors & Co Sec. AFAIK what ay Director calls himself (e.g. Chief chocolate recipe strategist and chief operating officer.. ) is entirely up to them as long as it ain't fraudulant...
Normally I would expect a Chairman & COO both to be Directors.
I always called myself "Technical Director" (sounded not too grand, would get me int seminars etc... )
Google will often get you shedloads of info. Also a simple 'phone call to helpful phone operator can gain amazing amounts of info.. ask politely, friendly-ly & patiently and you may be amazed.. Ask in a pushy, nervous & agressive way and expect to be told to **** off....
