Conservatives Pension proposal. Retire when?

I'm unclear as to what exactly the Conservatives are proposing for the new retirement age for men.

I was born in September 1950 and expect to receive state pension in 2015. But I will be 66 in 2016. So are they proposing that I retire in 2015 or

2016?

AIUI, nothing will change until 2016 - by which time you will already have retired at 65, so it shouldn't affect you.

They'll never let you retire. ;-) AFAIK these are only vague ideas and are likely to change (for the worse) if they actually got elected.

If the current lot get re-elected then there won't be anything left to pay anyone a pension!

I don't think it'll make much difference who gets elected next time. We are going to have to live with the mess for a very long time.
