Sorry if this has been asked before.
I am filling in my tax return. There are some dates to be filled in on the Self Employment section. It doesn't state the format. i.e. should I write 14/02/2005 or 14/02/05, or 14/Feb/05. And is it DD/MM/YY or what. Or, does it really matter!

Really confuse them and use the American date format.

Assuming this is an online form, there is only one format to be used:
The International Standard ( ISO 8601 )
especially relevant is
"Especially authors of Web pages and software engineers who design user interfaces, file formats, and communication protocols should be familiar with ISO 8601."
Which means that the Revenue is totally unlikely to have seen it.
