When you use your credit card/debit card at a retailer with chip and pin, does the receipt the retailer keeps contain the name of the customer? The customers receipt doesn't contain the customers name.
Does the retailers credit card recipt contain name of customer?

You want to use your grandmother's credit card to purchase a moped?
It depends on the CC and the store in question. When I used American Express to topup my mobile phone at ASDA, not only the name and surname was printed on my receipt but the phone number in its full as well. When asked about the name, the lady at the customer service said something about "personal touch." She couldn't comment on the presence of the phone number though.

In Sainsbury's I don't think there is a retailers receipt.
They have to keep a record of the card transaction. It's part of the merchant contract.
