Don't Use Deal4Free For Financial Trading

Sure, their spreads are a little tighter but look at the cost you pay ...

1) Rude, surly, ignorant staff.

2) No freephone support number (except for sales).

3) Crazy charting which can spike 55 points and back again in a few seconds, setting off stop-losses, without any right of appeal or redress.

The last one caused me to close my account as IG Index's 1-minute charts for the same period were quite smooth without the ridiculous spiking of Deal4Free's. Nor do IG receive complaints about being stopped-out like Deal4Free does. I suspect Deal4Free manipulate their charts on a regular basis just to take out client stops. Go with a professional company like IG, or anyone but Deal4Free!

That hasn't been my experience.

You clearly missed:

Call UK Freephone: 0800 0933 633

Or the callback service.

If you get a salesdroid, ask to be put through to support. I've never had a problem with this.

I have noticed one or two anomalous spikes recently (at one point, hitting 60,000 transient for UK30 cash). I wondered if they'd had a bug in the system, but didn't have any positions open, so didn't bother following up.

How much effort have you put into contacting deal4free/CMC about it? Who did you speak to?

That's straight-out libel, unless you can prove intent (which could be tricky unless you can afford serious lawyers and High Court actions). Not a clever thing to do in a public forum to a company with (presumably) a few more quid in the bank than you have.

If you have those sorts of reservations, and you've exhausted all avenues of complaint with d4f, you should make a formal complaint to the FSA, supported by a full record of correspondence, phone calls, incidents, etc.
