Can anyone recommend a Euro savings account with a major bank in the UK, that is hassle-free with no fees, and pays a decent rate of interest (>2%)?

Not UK, but nearly: Alliance & Leicester (Isle of Man) are always among the top payers and are currently offering 3.15% on balances over ?5000.
That looks perfect, thanks!
PS, the reason I am doing this:
Now take that first sentance: "America's elite banks are expecting sterling to plummet next year after its meteoric rise to near $2 this autumn"
Basically that is crap - the pound has not had a meteoric rise at all - the dollar has crashed. - The difference being what has happened to other exchange rates, they have moved much more against the dollar than the pound.
If you look at the rest of the article you can easilly tell it is just someone trying to talk the dollar back up.
I personally believe that the pound is stronger than it should be and over the medium term it will generally fall - but I've been saying that for a couple of years now and it hasnt happenend yet.
Why bet purely on the Euro - maybe spreading the risk on some unit/investment trusts based on overseas equities would help guard against a Euro fall. Even dollar based investment are starting to look tempting, although I suspect the dollar still has further to fall.
(P.S. I might be totally wrong).
EUR based savings w high yield can be reached easily. Interest rates are above 2 percent generally. Some EUR based investment fund can provide 4-7 percent. Contact me if you are interested.
