Excel XIRR function strange result ?

Jan 23, 2006 1 Replies

Whilst looking at a spreadsheet monitoring the investment performance of the OCD tipsheet, the XIRR function gave a return of 20% over 378 days.

My version of Excel hasn't got this function and having looked at the trades, I'm surprised at the result, please could someone who knows more about it than me check the working ?

The zipped spreadsheet is here

That works correctly.

XIRR is an add-in, which you should be able to find. My version is Excel7 for W95.
