Holland has its own housing bubble as you are aware. House prices in Utrecht were just as bad as London. At the time I had the money I was looking at a small apartment (piso) in an unfashionable part of Spain. I could have got one for about £15,000. Now I think the same places are selling to Brits for £60,000. So getting a property is now something that will never happen unless I get very lucky.
