I note from TV advertising that Natwest is giving (free) financial advice to customers.



Is this the same financial advice that resulted in banks loosing billions?


Probably, but now they can't find anyone who wants to pay good money for their advice, so it's being offered for free. ;)

I'm a bit sad about Natwest. They are the only bank that pledged to keep branches in small towns (which they did), and did provide a very good service to me for years, with very affordable business banking, free banking, free accounts software and advice. Other banks were typical of the Nationwide ad. Still, now that Natwest performance is measured by that of RBS...
