General Halifax ATM statement question

Hi

I realise this may possibly not be the best place to post; but at the moment I can't raise it with Halifax direct.

Does anyone know what the figures appearing next to the transactions on ATM statement prints for Halifax Bank mean? I have a bank statement which I'm investigating (not mine) where a transaction has the code "660" next to it.

I have tried phoning the Halifax direct for general information but they won't discuss it with me as it isn't my account, which is reasonable. I have said I'm not interested in anything else to do with the account, just this one transaction.

There's nothing sinister here: she accuses my organisation of paying her money and then taking it back, and has supplied the statement to show it. The money was definitely withdrawn, but not by my organisation. I just want to point her in the right direction. Unfortunately the lady's manner means that people tend to keep conversations with her very short, and I suspect that she only heard what she wanted to hear when she spoke to the Halifax.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Steve
