I sent this email to the Institute of Internal Auditors and still have not had a response. Tonight I am going to fax the message but still do not expect a response. We'll see. But IIA has been unresponsive in all administrative matters to date. It's a wonder that I maintained membership for so long. This borders on prite information handling laws though... seems like they would at least respond; if anything, just to shut me up. ============================================Dear IIA,
Two years ago IIA payment notices stopped arriving at my postal address, which has not changed in five years, and this has led to some concern about IIA administrative practices. Before, I would receive a payment notice then pay via credit card and facsimile transmission. Last year I did not receive any notices, except one that told me that if I did not pay immediately, my membership would be terminated. This year I have received a notice that is a bit more polite, but the wrong name is displayed on the letter. My name as addressed on the letter is to ?Kirt Seth Dickerson?. I have also received other forum communications under this name. Will you please report to me why my name has changed in your records? Also, please provide information about information change management practices at the IIA. My name is Kirt Seth Cathey and has been that way for the past 40 years. The IIA handling of my personal private information is in big question. While I do wish to continue my membership and CIA credential, I do not believe it would be prudent continue a relationship with an organization that may mis-handle my personal and private information.
In addition, in the past I have sent messages through the queries links on the IIA web site and have received not one single response?. not even an acknowledgement of my message being processed. Should I expect any response from this message?My member number is 10XXXXX? in case you did not notice it in the subject of this message.
