Selective use of statistics, either knowingly or unknowingly. First you compared one period of a year against another, without knowing what seasonal variation would be, then one arbitrary year against another, without knowing how unusual either year was. Maybe the 2004 figures are the aberration,and not the 2005?

You seem to be determined to prove your case via statistics, rather than use statistics to decide what your case should be.
