Hmmn, I wonder if that also applies to transfers between a Lloyds TSB account and a Lloyds TSB credit card.
They have always been instant for me as an ex TSB customer.
I have just arranged a payment today, 30/10/2009 and it states a due date of
1/11/2009...so its still 2/3 business days.In article , Jef Roe writes
Perhaps not so simple, from experience with another bank they transferred the money the same day but still showed the due date as being 3 days hence. Very confusing and causes problems when specified minimum DD payments are not taken when any payment is received more than a few days before the DD payment is due.
What has happened is that business banking has moved to real time rather than overnight.
The FSA's new rules on transferring money from different banks. Specifically savings accounts to current accounts, and vice versa, which can now take up to 4 days, so robbing the customer of 3 or
4 days interest. Is to come into force soon.. However the greedy banks have got round this by writing to customers changing the t and c's of their accounts. Apparently this will not be stopped until 2012.it does take 3 days
