LLP returns

Trying to help a friend do their return to Companies House online for an LLP. This is the first time it has been done online and so it asks them to change the country for all the partners to UK (previously blank).

For the two individuals this works fine, however they have a discretionary trust listed as a third partner. This has a share of one of the individual partner's half.

Changing the country is OK but the website then insists on you changing the status EEA etc and giving country and number. This is somehting nobody seems to be able to explain.

Would the discretionary trust have a number of registration somewhere?

Can the trust actually be a partner? (I assume because it receives a share of the profits)

Any suggestions. Companies house were no help and the person at the accountants who deals with trusts is away for the week.

TIA

I didn't think that trusts were legal persons.
