Ok, that's it, Google groups exceeded my tolerance threshold. It's not the spam I object to, just the fact they refuse to take any action even if you report it. My killfiles will now block anything with them as an origin (hopefully all the sane regulars have a real newsreader).

LOL. MInd you it did say 'up to' 5.6% weekly interest. That would also include, say, 0%, or more likely, a figure with a minus in front of it. Such as -100%.
