Just got an email to say their Silver Savings rate was to be increased.............
"In order to maintain our competitive position, we have increased the interest rate on our Silver Savings Online Account. This change was made with effect from 21 February 2007."
Old rate 5.70%
New rate 5.71%

Very odd that is. You will get an extra 10 per annum if you have 100,000 with them. I never knew that the savings market was that competitive.
i recon thats just a sneaky way to get ahead in the best buy tables, i've had my suspicions about rises of 0.05 previously, but 0.01%...
