National debt depth query

Dec 01, 2010 0 Replies

I gather the total UK national debt stands at the moment at about 4.7+ Trillion £ - and growing apace. This it seems includes eveything, underfunded CivilService pensions etc. all of which may not need to be borrowed eg by selling Govt. Bonds at the present time. Can anyone tell me approx what part of this huge debt is having to be covered at interest at the moment? Thanks.... C+
