Offset Remortgage

Feb 11, 2007 2 Replies

I'm looking to remortgage soon and go for an offset arrangement.

I've read good things about the One Account, IF and Hinckley and Rugby but the best one seems to be from the Newcastle, which is largely fee- free.

What I can't figure out is that I typed the same details into the One Account and the IF offset calculators and the One Account said I could pay it off in 4 years, whereas it would be 12 or 13 for IF...

Can anyone recommend a good lender? LTV is about 55%.

Should I go for the lowest APR, as well as looking at the small print.

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks, Ed.

Shabbey National have lifetime tracker offset (called flexi plus). You should never need to remortgage, and you may be able to trade low fees for higher interest rate (you need to do the sums to check which is best).

Clydesdale bank and Scottish Widows were offer some reasonable offset facilities, but I've not looked at them in a while.
