It might be worthwhile talking to Flemings as they are a UK operation with strong Indian links. I'd imagine the charges could be high though !

The Indian market is _very_ risky - you'd bet better off with a collective investment fund (e.g., Fleming Indian). Some major Indian firms may also be quoted on other exchanges.

The issue I have with TinyURL is that they may be monitoring redirections and using that information for advertising. It was discussed somewhere on usenet ISTR.

Yep, ISTR some quibbles about that, towards the start of the year. They don't seem to have been doing anything about it yet, though. It could be just another baseless rumour. I wouldn't be surprised.

Doubtless they do keep records of redirections: I certainly would, to generate stats over usage patterns, abuses and so on. Doesn't mean a sinister purpose, though.

True. If a poster's reasonably reliable, though, the worst you're going to get is a disguised affiliate link, and most people tend to object to those fairly quickly, too.
