Patenting a name.

I suppose that means the end of the old guarantee that use of one registered trade mark will not be held to infringe any other. If that's so, it's a bit sad. I always thought that was such a valuable thing.

You don't happen to know anything about the status of ITMA's application for a Royal Charter by any chance, do you? I'm afraid I've lost touch with that too.

And the client was already well aware of our existence. I have more than ample proof of that. At the time (late 80's) our adverts even appeared next to his sometimes!

I would expect any half-competent search agent to at least use a search engine and do an Internet domain name search.
