Pre-Paid Credit cards , are there any you can buy over the counter ?

A friend has no debit or credit cards , i've mentioned a few , but the offers on line require him to buy with a debit card , i sugguested he sends me the 9.99 fee and i can buy for him and its registered in his name, the talksport card allows this option , there fees seem good as well 75p for any amount added to the card upto 3.5k , if added at a post office , but he seems quite giddy for the a prepaid card , but all the offers i see require you to sign up online and pay online , he kinda wants to sign up himself and pay for it over the counter.....

Anyone know of a over the counter offer ?

p.s with a similar or better deal than the talksport card , some cards seem a bit hefty on the loading fees , 75p seems very reasonable.

360money.com will give him a Maestro prepay debit card. He can sign up himself and pay using a voucher from a PayPoint. No ID is required.

But you do have to do an online credit check, which in my case failed because I have just moved.

Really? That must be new, I got 3 cards under made up names a few weeks ago.
