Premium Bonds winners: "Value of bond"?

Mar 03, 2004 1 Replies

Does anybody know what the "Value of bond" colunm in the listing of Premium Bonds winners means?

The listing mentions "Total value of holding" which I presume means what it seems to mean, but also "Value of bond", which seems to be some variable, but round, number. I don't understand this as I thought every bond was worth £1, or have long-held bonds been revalued at some point(s) in the past?

Whilst bonds are sold in units of £1, they were generally bought in multiple denominations of £10, £20 £50 etc.,.Even with the current minimum purchase of £100 there are set denominations. This is what the column refers to.
