Query RE International Power shares..??

Hello,

I have a number of Int power plc new ord shares (nil paid)

and

A number of international power plc ord 50p shares..

Can someone please explain what the nil paid shares are, what they are worth and what can be done with them?. Also why are there two different types of share?

Is it best just to sell the nil paid ones as i notice that the other ones are going to pay a dividend in 2005??

thanks

jo

I'm not aware of any recent share issues with IP. Are these zero paid things the residue of when they were first floated? Contact the registrars, their address is on the certs.

See

which explains what should have happened with your nil-paid shares. Dated 15 September 2004, it indicates that you should get 141p less 82p less costs for each nil paid share. No action needed on your part.

I suspect these shares are quite a few years old and are left over from a former demerger or something,,i dont think they are related to the recent September nil rights issue. They are in the PEP of a deceased person whos estate i am adminstering..

Thought I'd get as much info as poss before approaching the PEP manager..

There doesn't appear to have been anything else since the end of 2000, and they were only demerged from National Power in September 2000. You might like to have a look at the FAQ at
