Blimey. That's a lot more than I thought it was.

I thought that as well, but that's what that well known inaccurate source Wikipedia says, so it's probably wrong...

not at all, billie boy says it $3000 trillion....you should listen up and learn

the world gdp is around $65 trillion....

it's obvious that india is a big place so it's quite likely the indian gdp is going on 50 times as big..... there's an awesome number of people in india....

and we do have the authority of billie boy who reads wikipedia

i don't think you should question blackie...he's a socialist... and you know it's unfair to mention facts with socialists....

socialists are superior......socialists are idealists...and in the real ideal world india is getting more gigantic right as i type

why, if things go on like this they'll use curry to power a moon rocket....how on earth do you suppose america can compete with that just using filthy fossil fuels like clean coal?

regards...

The world almanch (Fischer) 2008 gives for India a GDP of US$730 per capita, a population of 1.1 billion. Hence the total GDP, 730x1.1 billion is about 800 billion, i.e. 0.8 trillion. Where do you get the figure of 3000 trillion?

You have misquoted wikipedia, and missed out a decimal point, its really:

GDP (purchasing power parity): $2.966 trillion (2007 est.) GDP (official exchange rate): $1.099 trillion (2007 est.) GDP - real growth rate: 9% (2007 est.) GDP - per capita (PPP): $2,600 (2007 est.)

True. He's normally right about stuff.

I follow so far...

And open a takeaway on the moon. Why, the devious bloody hindoos don't need our aid at all!

Death to the yankees!
