Re: Nat Sav: 5 yr IL sav certs: historical rates

I'm looking for the interest rates paid on issues 1 (retirement) to 13

Only one more, the 8th issue in 1994 was offering inflation + 3%. If you do find some more it would be interesting (sic) if you could post them here ...

11th series was 1.05% 1.30% 2.05% 3.07% 6.37% 12th series was 1.00% 1.25% 2.00% 3.00% 5.31%

I have the maturity values for some earlier issues (started in 1992 onwards) but not the %age rates, so someone would have to figure out the RPI increase and work back.

9th issue year 1 +1.0% year 2 +1.25% year 3 +2.0% year 4 +3.0% year 5 +5.31% equal to +2.5% pa compound over 5 years
10th issue year 1 +1.0% year 2 +1.25% year 3 +2.0% year 4 +3.0% year 5 +5.31% equal to +2.5% pa compound over 5 years

Yes. This is the same as the 9th issue! I presume the new issue number was because people were only allowed to buy £10,000 per issue.

11th issue year 1 +1.05% year 2 +1.3% year 3 +2.05% year 4 +3.07% year 5 +6.37% equal to +2.75% pa compound over 5 years
12th issue year 1 +1.0% year 2 +1.25% year 3 +2.0% year 4 +3.0% year 5 +5.31% equal to +2.5% pa compound over 5 years

This is the same as for the 9th and 10th issues.
