I have won damages in a medical negligence case. The damages have been paid into a "special needs trust" to preserve my entitlement to benefits.
The trust was set up by Frenkel Topping, and they opened a bank account. But if we wany information about this account, eg. a balance, we have to contact F.T, we cannot contact the bank directly.
The trustees are having problems setting up bank accounts in the name of the trust. The banks agree to set up an account in the trust's name, but then put the account in my name.
Does anyone have any experience of running a SNT ? Any advice appreciated.
